MPSU Welcomes AACCUP Survey Visit, reaffirms Commitment to Institutional Excellence

Mountain Province State University (MPSU) welcomed the AACCUP Survey Team as the Level III Phase 2 online Accreditation Survey Visit kicked off on October 6, 2026, covering academic programs across Bontoc and Tadian campuses.

MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, through his Chief of Staff, Dr. Karen B. Cue, welcomed the survey team during the activity held at the Administration Conference Hall of MPSU-Bontoc.

In his message, Dr. Cue emphasized that accreditation goes beyond compliance, describing it as an opportunity for the University to reflect on its accomplishments, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen the way it serves its students and communities.

β€œLet us therefore view this accreditation not simply as an assessment, but as an opportunity to leave our institution stronger, more responsive, and better prepared for the future,” Dr. Cue said. He further underscored that accreditation is a continuing commitment to institutional excellence and to building an institution that future generations of MPSUans can inherit with pride.

Said survey visit covers the Doctor of Education, Master of Arts in Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science programs at MPSU-Bontoc, and the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Forestry programs at MPSU-Tadian.

The AACCUP survey team is led by Dr. Elsie M. Pacho for MPSU-Bontoc and Dr. Isidro L. Duran for MPSU-Tadian, both from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University.

Meanwhile, the survey visit for the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Bachelor of Special Needs Education programs is also ongoing.

Said accreditation activities reaffirm MPSU’s commitment to quality education, continuous improvement, and the strengthening of its institutional legacy.
