MPSU concludes AACCUP survey visit, reaffirms commitment to continuous improvement

Mountain Province State University (MPSU) concluded its survey visit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) on October 9, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to academic quality, institutional effectiveness, and continuous improvement during the Exit Conference held at the Administration Conference Hall of MPSU-Bontoc.

Said conference highlighted the importance of sustaining quality assurance efforts beyond the accreditation process, with the survey team’s findings and recommendations serving as a basis for further strengthening the University’s academic programs and services.

In his message, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue emphasized that the conclusion of the survey visit marks not the end of the University’s quality assurance efforts, but a renewed beginning toward institutional excellence. He underscored the importance of translating the survey team’s findings and recommendations into meaningful actions that will support continuous improvement.

The survey visit covered academic programs across the Bontoc and Tadian campuses. At MPSU-Bontoc, the programs assessed were the Doctor of Education, Master of Arts in Education, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Meanwhile, MPSU-Tadian underwent assessment of its Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Forestry programs. These programs concluded the survey visit on Thursday, October 8th. Bachelor of Special Needs Education and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education concluded on Friday, October 9th.

Likewise, MPSU extended its appreciation to the survey coordinators, Dr. Elsie M. Pacho and Dr. Isidro L. Duran of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), and Dr. Jovita E. Villanueva of Bulacan State University, for their expertise and support throughout the survey visit.

The University also recognized the collective efforts of its administrators, faculty members, staff, and other stakeholders who contributed to the preparation and conduct of the accreditation activities.

Moving forward, MPSU remains committed to translating the survey team’s findings and recommendations into concrete improvements while strengthening its culture of quality assurance in education and public service. This commitment reinforces the University’s continuing pursuit of quality education and meaningful institutional development for the people of Mountain Province and beyond.
