The Mountain Province State University (MPSU) Bontoc honored the dedication and invaluable contributions of its educators through the celebration of Teachers’ Day, with the theme “Honoring Our Everyday Heroes,” today, October 9, at the University Auditorium, MPSU, Bontoc, MP.
Representing University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, Chief of Staff Dr. Karen B. Cue delivered a message of appreciation, emphasizing the lasting impact of teachers beyond the classroom.
“Behind every lesson is a teacher. Behind every achievement is a mentor. And behind every dream turned into reality is a teacher who believed in a student’s potential,” he said.
Dr. Cue likewise underscored the importance providing equal opportunities for all students to learn, lead, and succeed, encouraging teachers to champion equality and continue inspiring excellence.
The celebration featured student performances expressing gratitude to their teachers, alongside the presentation of tokens of appreciation in recognition of their unwavering service. A Glamour Lounge was also set up at the Admin Conference Hall, offering educators manicures, pedicures, and haircuts as a gesture of appreciation and an opportunity for self-care.
Said gathered university officials, faculty members, students, and staff to recognize the teachers and mentors whose commitment to education continues to inspire excellence and shape the lives of learners.
Through this celebration, MPSU reaffirmed its gratitude to its educators for inspiring hope, building confidence, encouraging students through challenges, and help them discover what they can become.
