The Mountain Province State University (MPSU) Tadian Campus celebrated Teachers’ Day and held a post-birthday tribute for University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue on October 9, at the IPED Building in Tadian, Mountain Province.
The celebration gathered faculty members, students, and university employees to recognize teachers’ dedication and contributions while expressing appreciation for the university president’s leadership.
In his message, Dr. Cue emphasized the transformative role of educators through an acronym that reflects the essence of their profession:
“T — Touching
E — Every
A — Aspiration,
C — Changing
H — Hearts,
E — Empowering
R — Realities
More than an acronym, I believe this captures what each and every one of you does. You touch the aspirations of every young person who walks through our doors. You change hearts through your patience, wisdom, and example. And most importantly, you empower realities, you help turn dreams into possibilities, and possibilities into achievements,” he said.
Meanwhile, the post-birthday tribute for Dr. Cue featured performances by faculty members, students, and university employees as expressions of gratitude for his leadership and service. The university community also presented gifts in recognition of his commitment to advancing MPSU’s mission.
The joint celebration reflected the campus community’s spirit of unity and appreciation, honoring the educators who inspire future generations while recognizing the leadership that contributes to the university’s continued growth and development.
