PEGC supports student entrepreneurship as MPSU Country Fair 2026 opens

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue graced the opening of the MPSU Country Fair 2026 on October 13 at the 6th floor of the Administration Building of Mountain Province State University (MPSU) in Bontoc, Mountain Province.

Organized by the MPSU Supreme Student Council (SSC) Bontoc, led by Student Regent Hill Coleman C. Awichen, the fair provides student organizations with a platform to showcase their products, promote entrepreneurship, and raise funds for their respective activities.

In his message, Dr. Cue commended the participating student organizations for their initiative, creativity, and willingness to turn their ideas into action.

“I want you to know this: I am so proud of you! Proud ako sa inyong initiative, sa inyong creativity, at higit sa lahat, sa inyong willingness to step up and make things happen. Instead of simply waiting for opportunities, you chose to create them. Instead of settling for what is expected of you, you chose to show what you can achieve,” he said.

Following the opening ceremony, Dr. Cue visited the participating organizations’ booths, explored their products and offerings, and expressed his support for their entrepreneurial endeavors.

He also acknowledged the SSC and the Student Services and Development Office (SSDO) for their collaborative efforts in creating opportunities for student organizations to develop their entrepreneurial potential and gain practical experience.

The fair will run until October 20, allowing the university community to visit the booths and support the student-led enterprises.

The opening of the MPSU Country Fair 2026 reflects the university’s commitment to fostering student entrepreneurship, strengthening leadership, and providing meaningful opportunities for students to translate their ideas into action.

As Dr. Cue emphasized, “The greatest profit is not measured by the money we earn, but by the knowledge we gain, the leaders we become, and the opportunities we create for others.” #
