The Mountain Province State University (MPSU) community through the leadership of University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, gathered for its weekly flag-raising ceremony on October 12, at the Admin Lobby, MPSU, Bontoc, hosted by the Library Services Office.
In observance of Mental Health Month, GAD Director Ms. Michelle Doss, and Guidance & Counseling Director Ms. Crystine Felimon emphasized the importance of mental well-being and the need to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students.
The ceremony also featured the awarding of certificates of recognition to student and faculty researchers for representing MPSU in two separate research events. The recognition celebrated their contributions to research and their efforts in bringing honor to the university.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) joined the ceremony to recognize and award the students who emerged as winners in the Statistics Quiz, highlighting their knowledge and skills in statistics.
The gathering also announced the upcoming Legal and Gender and Development (GAD) Consultation, scheduled for October 13–16, 2026, on the third floor of the Administration Building. The consultation will provide a platform for discussing legal concerns and gender-related matters, promoting awareness and strengthening gender-responsive practices within the university.
