To create a comprehensive policy on the use of AI at MPSU that is ethical, inclusive, and aligned with both institutional goals and global educational standards, MPSU partnered with the University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB) for a webinar entitled, โSeminar-Workshop: Towards the Development of Academic Policies on the Use of AI.โ
The webinar brought together more than 700 students, educators, personnel, and officials, online and onsite, from various educational institutions in the country.
Prof. Jomar F. Rabajante, Dean for UPLB Graduate School was the resource speaker. He presented and discussed the potential of AI in education and the ethical principles for the use of AI in teaching and learning.
A workshop with a critiquing session for the University will be conducted tomorrow, 21 February 2025. Said workshop will focus on the development of the institutional Artificial Intelligence Policy. This will be facilitated by Prof. Rabajante.
The creation and establishment of a University policy on the use of AI is vital for fostering an educational environment that embraces innovation while maintaining high standards of academic integrity. As University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue represented by CAO Atty. Dexter C. Lingabanan stated in his message, โThe essence of this seminar-workshop is to enrich your understanding not only on the use of AI but also on how to harness its potential, responsibly and ethically.โ#
