Earlier this day, the University, led by University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, turned over the 30 computer units donated by Concentrix CVG PH Inc. to the student organization of Bontoc, Tadian, and Paracelis Campuses during the flag-raising ceremony at the Administration Lobby.

Among the recipients of the computer units in Bontoc Campus are the Universityโ€™s official student publication, TALA, the Information Technology Department, the Criminology Department Student Association, the Future Mentors Society, Student Nurses Organization. Meanwhile, three schools in Tadian Campus, which are the School of Teacher Education, the School of Engineering, and the School of Agroforestry and Forestry- along with the Supreme Student Council (SSC) also received units. Further, the Student Tambayan Center of both Bontoc and Tadian campuses; and Paracelis Campus were also provided with computers.

Present during the ceremony were Dr. Steven Pasayan from Bontoc General Hospital and Ms. Sheryl Mae Bonbon. Dr. Pasayan advocated for strengthening policies for the obesity crisis in response to World Obesity Awareness Day with the theme “Changing Systems for Healthier Lives.” On the other hand, Ms. Bonbon talked about rabies prevention as part of the program on National Rabies Awareness Month.

Upcoming activities for the coming weeks were also announced by various unit heads of the University:

-Mr. Joesph Brilliantes informed about the simultaneous earthquake drill with a fire drill, scheduled for March 13.

-Dr. Christy Lynne Codod announced the AACCUP Accreditation for Bachelor of Science in Office Administration, Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Master in Public Administration on March 12-14.

-Mr. Ian Ace Culallad updated the body on the status of the MPSU website and reminded the different units of the university to use the university domain, mpsu.edu.ph, for official transactions.

-Ms. Venus Naida Bawiyan also reminded about the major event, which will be hosted by MPSU, the CARASUC Athletic Meet and Cultural Festival 2025, on March 24 to 28.

In line with the CARASUC Meet and Cultural Festival 2025 announcement, Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed also announced that academic asynchronous learning will be held from March 17 to 29, and face-to-face classes will resume on March 31.

For the final message of the University president, Dr. Edgar G. Cue, asked for the collaborative support and effort of everyone for the success of the lined-up activities, especially on the first hosting of MPSU for the CARASUC Meet and Cultural Festival. He also congratulated the Criminology Department for the good result of the recently conducted Criminology Licensure Examination.#
