The Mountain Province State University (MPSU)-Tadian Campus topped the scoreboard during the first MPSU Scie-Math Tech Quiz Bee with the theme “Igniting Minds, Inspiring Innovation.” The event, facilitated by the School of Teacher Education (STE)—Bontoc Campus was held today, March 13, at the Academic Building, Bontoc Campus.

Students from the Bachelor of Secondary Education majors in Science and Mathematics from both Tadian and Bontoc campuses, as well as Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, and Electrical Engineering from Tadian Campus, participated in the competition. The activity aimed to harness students’ knowledge and skills in the fields of science and mathematics.

During the opening program at the Student Center, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, inspired the participants and wished them good luck for the quiz bee.

“Always bear in mind that winning is not all; what matters most are the knowledge, skills, and lessons that you learn along the way and along the process. This experience alone is an extracurricular learning opportunity that gave you a chance to expand your horizons,” added Dr. Cue.

The quiz bee featured four categories: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Tadian Campus students dominated the Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry categories, while Bontoc Campus students secured the top spot in Biology.
