The School of Advanced Education (SAE)- Master of Science in Criminal Justice with Specialization in Criminology (MSCJ) program is conducting a two-day extension activity titled β€œQuantitative and Qualitative Data Analysis for Law Enforcers using Gender Neutral Language” at the Academic Building of MPSU, March 17, 2025.

Participated in by Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel from various municipalities of Mountain Province and from the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO), the activity is one of the projects of the MSCrim titled β€œAdapting for Tomorrow’s Challenge: Retooling Police Officers through Continuing Education.” This is in line with their extension program on β€œExtension Program on Knowledge and Skills Enrichment; Assessment and Empowerment; Peace and Order Advocacies; Youth Development; and Academic Linkage Establishment (E-KAPYA).”

During the opening program, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue emphasized the significance of the activity. β€œAs law enforcers, the data that you are handling are critical, as these shape policies and guide your operations as well as influence your methods and processes in serving and protecting the community. Whatever data that is, whether in the form of narrations or numbers, is important in making informed decisions,” he said.

Likewise, in the message of the Deputy Director of MPPPO Provincial Director Ferdinand N. Oydoc, he encouraged the younger police force to engage more in seminars, which they can use for their personal and professional growth.

The speakers for the activity, which will run until tomorrow, March 18, are SAE and SCJELA faculty members who are experts on each topic to be discussed.#
