𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗖 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀


Bontoc, Mountain Province – Mountain Province State University (MPSU) is hosting the Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC) Athletic Meet and Culture and the Arts Festival for the first time in the province’s history, officially kicking off today, March 24, 2025.

Bearing the theme “A United CARASUC: Celebrating Heritage, Cultivating Progress in Sports, Culture, and Arts,” nearly 3,000 athletes, coaches, and officiating officials from the seven State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) within the region have converged in the capital town of Mountain Province for the multi-day event.

The opening ceremony began with a vibrant parade showcasing the participating SUCs and their respective athletes, followed by a program held at the Eyeb Open Gym. A ground demonstration by the University’s NSTP students followed.

The event also featured the ribbon cutting for the Trade Fair Para sa CARASUC at the Provincial Plaza Grounds.

This 2025 CARASUC opening and parade was also attended by university presidents, sports directors, and local government unit officials, including Mountain Province Governor Hon. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan , Jr., represented by Provincial Youth Development Officer Mr. Arthur Odsey; Cong. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., represented by Atty. Xyphriene Dalog-Duclan; Bontoc Municipal Mayor Jerome B. Tudlong and Pudtol, Apayao Municipal Mayor Hector Reuel D. Pascua.#
