
Benguet State University proved its dominance at the 2025 Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC) Athletic Meet, soaring to an impressive overall championship victory. With an impressive total of 193 gold, 77 silver, and 69 bronze medals, BSU has once again solidified its reputation as a powerhouse in regional sports. This triumph marks the Universityโs reign as overall champion since the CARASUC Athletic Meetโs establishment.
Rising to the challenge, Abra State Institute of Science and Technology finished strong as the first runner-up with a commendable tally of 85 golds, 55 silvers, and 51 bronze medals.
In a stunning turnaround, Mountain Province State University, the host institution, clinched the second runner-up spot with a robust 76 golds, 73 silvers, and 81 bronzes. This marks a strong recovery from their fifth runner-up finish in last yearโs meet, showcasing an unwavering commitment to excellence and sportsmanship.
Kalinga State University wasnโt far behind, finishing as third runner-up with 18 gold, 64 silver, and 59 bronze medals, while Apayao State College secured the fourth runner-up position with 15 gold, 51 silver, and 48 bronze.
Rounding out the top five, Ifugao State University placed fifth with 12 gold, 70 silver, and 73 bronze medals, and the University of the Philippines Baguio clinched sixth runner-up with 5 gold, 14 silver, and 16 bronze.
Held under the theme, “A United CARASUC: Celebrating Heritage, Cultivating Progress in Sports, Culture, and Arts,” the 2025 CARASUC meet brought together 2,686 delegates from the seven participating State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).#
