Eyeb Grounds, Bontoc– The Mountain Province State University’s Reserved Officers Training Corps (ROTC) defended its title as the champion for this year’s Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI). MPSU-ROTC secured the top spot with an overall score of 98.9% in the affiliated level among all participating SUCs in the Cordillera region.
MPSU bested four other SUCs in the region in the areas of company drill, map reading, comprehensive examination, ceremonial, assembling and disassembling of M16, knot tying, Small Unit Tactics, administrative efficiency, arrival honor, inspection, and first aid. Among these areas, three were perfected by the University’s ROTC, including the comprehensive examination, assembling and disassembling of the M16, and arrival honor.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, in his message, expressed his gratitude to the Army Reserve Command of the Philippine Army and the Inspection Team. He also commended the ROTC officers’ and trainers’ efforts and commitment in molding the cadets and fueling their patriotic spirits.
“Remember, you are an Igorot cadet and you are the new generation of mountain warriors,” Dr. Cue added.
The Inspection Team was led by its chairperson, Col Camilo A Saddam GSC (INF) PA.
Said inspection was attended by University officials, personnel, students, and the Bontoc community.
