The University’s Gender and Development Unit, represented by its Focal Person Ms. Dixty L. Caranto, conducted a strategic engagement with the Pangasinan Crisis Intervention Center (PCIC)โthe sole accredited Gender and Development (GAD) Learning Hub in Region I.
This initiative formed part of the unitโs continuous efforts to strengthen institutional capacities in delivering gender-responsive and inclusive services. The engagement featured a meaningful exchange of insights and best practices on integrated approaches to gender-based violence prevention, psychosocial support, and multi-sectoral service coordination.
The PCICโs outstanding programs, unwavering commitment to gender equity, and innovative strategies for empowering vulnerable sectors serve as a benchmark for effective GAD implementation in local governance.
