Mountain Province State University (MPSU), through the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (BAPS), in collaboration with the Bontoc Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of the Local Government Unit of Bontoc, organized an event titled “Leadership, Enhancement, Advancement, and Development Seminar for Bontoc SK Officers, Phase 2,” held at the Coffee and Lemon Cafรฉ, JBA Building, Bontoc, today, May 27, 2025.

In his message, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue delivered an inspirational message to the young leaders of Bontoc. โ€œLeadership is not defined by age, title, and position. Everybody can be a leader as long as one has the courage to care, the strength to listen, and the will to act even when the situation is hard or everyone is thankless and, most especially, even if no one is watchingโ€, he said.

Further, Dr. Cue challenged participants to exit the event with a clear vision, a strong conviction, and a determination to lead with passion and integrity.

Following the words of Dr. Cue. Bontoc Mayor Jerome โ€œChagsenโ€ Tudlong, Jr., through Municipal Administrator Eric Fulangen, Sr., expressed his appreciation to MPSU for the continuing and strong partnership in championing youth empowerment.

Said seminar aims to equip youth leaders with essential skills, knowledge, and strategies to lead effectively within their communities. The activity will run until May 28, 2025.
