Administration Conference Hall— The University joined the Commission on Higher Education-Cordillera Administrative Region and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in the kick-off ceremony and program orientation of the YEP x Project MARiTES today, 09 June 2025 via Zoom.
The kick-off formally launched the partnership between two youth-focused programs: DTIโs Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) and CHEDโs Project MARiTES (Mobilizing Available Resources through Inclusive Training on Entrepreneurship of Student-Grantees), both of which aim to empower the youth through entrepreneurial education and support.
MPSU has hosted activities on YEP and Project MARiTES in partnership with CHED and DTI that benefited and granted business opportunities to the youth in the academe and the community. Students from the University were also able to shine in pitching competitions as part of the said programs.
Said event was attended by students, VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, Scholarships and Grants Coordinator Mr. Jay B. Napanoy, and personnel from DTI.
DTIโs YEP, institutionalized through Republic Act No. 10679, otherwise known as the Youth Entrepreneurship Act, โaddresses the young demographics of the country to become productive individuals through entrepreneurship.โ CHED’s Project MARiTES, on the other hand, is a program aimed at empowering student-grantees with the knowledge and skills needed to start and manage their own businesses.#
