Mountain Province State University (MPSU) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penologyβ€”Mountain Province District Jail (BJMP-MPDJ) entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) today at the Board Room, MPSU Administration Building.

Said MOA marks the agreement for the launch of the university’s extension program through the School of International Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism Management titled β€œAdopt a Dorm, Build a Future: Livelihood Training Behind Bars.” This program aims to provide livelihood skills and opportunities to PDLs for their rehabilitation, empowerment, and future reintegration into society.

The MOA was signed by BJMP-MPDJ Jail Warden JINSP Bartolome B. Tresmanio, and MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue was represented by Vice President for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo Jr.

Present during the signing were Senior Jail Officer Rebecca V. Liis, Dean of the School of International Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism Management Dr. Karen B. Cue, Director for Extension Services Dr. Joy Fraine Ngodcho, Associate Dean of SIHSTM Ms. Maria Fenerlin S. Comafay, BSHM Faculty Mr. Flemington M. Comicho, MPDJ personnel, and MPSU staff.
