Mountain Province State University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue attended and graced the 3rd Regional Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers-Cordillera Administrative Region (PSABE-CAR) Convention with his presence and a message along with other key officials today at Leonardo G. Mayaen Sports Complex, Poblacion, Bontoc.
Said convention is a collaboration with the Department of Agriculture-Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (DA-RAED) and the Office of the Provincial Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (OPABE) of Mountain Province.
This two-day activity serves as a platform for sharing the latest innovations, addressing current challenges, and exploring opportunities in the field of agricultural and biosystems engineering, whereas activities included here are technical lectures, technical paper poster presentations, exhibits from local manufacturers, and special awards and recognition of outstanding agricultural and biosystems engineers (ABE) professionals.
In the message of Dr. Cue, he highlighted the contributed efforts of the university along with partner agencies in uplifting agriculture in the province. โThrough everyoneโs presence here, this signifies how the fusion of government, academia, and the modern agriculture sector can work together to empower our farmers in the form of science-based and technological solutions in building a self-sustaining, food-secure, and thriving Cordillera,โ he said.
Other key officials who also gave inspirational messages were Bontoc Municipal Mayor Hon. Franklin C. Odsey, Mountain Province Provincial Governor Hon. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr., represented by Provincial Administrator Mr. John Likigan, Provincial Board Member Hon. Henry D. Bastian, President of PSABE-CAR Engr. Gaston B. Cael, Chairperson of PRBABE Hon. Ariodear C. Rico, and the eventโs keynote speaker, Hon. Sherwin O. Valdez.
