Mountain Province State University through the Office of the Intenational and Local Affairs (ILA) hosted a regional capacity building at the Universityโ€™s Admin Conference Hall today, July 7, 2025.

Participated in by International Relations Officers (IROs) from the SUCs of the Cordilleran region namely: Benguet State University (BSU), Ifugao State University (IFSU), Apayao State College (ASC), Kalinga State University (KSU) and the University of Abra (UA), the said event was held to discuss the newly issued memorandum of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) which is the CMO No. 3 series of 2025 titled, โ€œUpdated Guidelines for Securing Authority to Travel Abroad for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)โ€.

MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue acknowledged and expressed his warm welcome to the participants. Further, he emphasized the importance of regional collaboration and shared understanding in implementing national directives.

He said,โ€ As educational institutions, we are now expanding our horizons as we step out of the country to train, to attend global conferences, to have benchmarking activities, or to foster partnerships with our fellow universities around the globe.โ€

โ€œLet us keep in mind that our travel is not for privilege, but it is for purpose, which is to grow, learn, and have something to bring back to benefit our students and our systems and to make our universities stronger.โ€ Dr. Cue added.
