Mountain Province State University (MPSU) is set to host the University Research Excellence Workshop on July 28–30, 2025 at Coffee and Lemon in Samoki, Bontoc. With the theme “Understanding the Landscape of World University Rankings and Strengthening Institutional Strategies for Scopus Publications,” the workshop highlights the university’s continued efforts to strengthen its presence in the global research community.

This three-day event will bring together faculty researchers, academic leaders, and members of the Research and Development Unit to explore how universities are ranked globally and how to effectively publish in Scopus-indexed journals. Participants will learn about research metrics, trends, and practical strategies to boost the quality, visibility, and impact of their scholarly work.

Organized by MPSU’s Research and Development Unit, the workshop aims to build a stronger research culture across the university—one that’s aligned with international standards and capable of contributing to meaningful, high-impact research.
