University Auditorium- Bontoc campus–As per CMO No. 39, s. 2021, which mandates the integration of lifelong fitness and physical activity in higher education curricula, the University is conducting a training workshop, dubbed, “Empowering Excellence and Physical Fitness through Orienteering, Combative Sports, and Swimming: A Training Workshop for the Effective Implementation of PATHFIT 3 and 4,” today, 28 July 2025.
Physical Activities Towards Health and Fitness (PATHFit) is a four-course program in Philippine higher education focused on promoting overall health and well-being through physical activity. In this case, the training-workshop focused on the integration of orienteering, combative sports (Arnis and Taekwondo), and swimming in its PATHFit 3 and 4 courses. These areas were selected based on their inclusion in the updated PATHFIT curriculum, their novelty in the program offerings, and alignment to the University’s goals.
This activity was designed to train and equip instructors, in both content and pedagogy, for the delivery of newly introduced PATHFIT components under the CMO and supports the rollout of PATHFIT 3 and 4, which was set to be implemented for the first time in the University this Academic Year 2025–2026.
Said training-workshop will run until 30 July 2025.#
