Mountain Province State University (MPSU) and the Bureau of Jail Management and PenologyโMountain Province District Jail (BJMP-MPDJ) entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on October 26, 2025, at the MPDJ, Caluttit, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
Said MOA marks the agreement for Extension and Community Services. This aims to formally establish a partnership between institutions to collaborate on programs that promote community development and public service.
Prior to the MOA signing, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue delivered his message.
โThis partnership we just established stands as a strong example of how we can create change through unity and shared purpose. Together, we are promoting the values of inclusion and dignity, echoing our universityโs mission to serve not only students but also communities and individuals who seek a new beginning. Through education and engagement, we affirm that every person deserves the chance to rebuild and redefine their future.โ, he said.
The MOA was signed by University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue and District Jail Acting Jail Warden JSINSP John S. Melecio.
Present during the signing were Vice President for Research Development and Extension Dr. Epiphania B. Magwilang, Director of Extension and Community Services Dr. Joy Fraine Ngodcho, Faculty of the School of Criminal Justice Education and Liberal Arts (SCJELA), and BJMP-MPDJ Personnel. #
