
Academic Building, MPSU-Bontoc— This yearโs Statistics Festival concluded with an awarding ceremony highlighting the role of data in accelerating the Sustainable Development Goalsโ (SDGs) pace of progress. This year bears the theme โAccelerating the SDGs of Progress: Mobilizing Data for Allโ and included various competitive events, including Statistics Quiz Bee, Essay Writing, Poster Making, Report it Right and Statistics Jingle Contest.
Students and personnel were also able to apply for their PSA documents and register for their National IDs.
Meanwhile, University officials also delivered their messages of aspirations for the said event and the winners.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, in his inspirational message delivered by MPSU-Bontoc Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, encouraged the participants to treat the contests as โopportunities to learn from one another and to enjoy the beauty of healthy competition.โ
GAD Director Ms. Michelle C. Doss, represented by Mr. Kevin Chad Peningeo extends her support to the activity and noted that such events โfoster a culture of sportsmanship and camaraderieโessential values for personal growth and nation-building.โ
MPSU-Bontoc Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed closed the event by challenging the participants to โkeep exploring, keep asking questions and keep finding the truthโ and to continue utilizing knowledge, creativity and curiosity in making differences-for the University and the community.
The festival is held every October, in celebration of the National Statistics Month in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority of Mountain Province.#
