College Hosts Capacity Building on University Research Futures Thinking and Foresight


College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue led the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) in hosting a three-day capacity building activity on University Research Futures Thinking and Foresight (FTFS) Phase III: Scenario and Strategy Development commenced at San Juan, La Union, yesterday May 22, 2024.

Attended by the researchers, members, and secretariat of the FTSF Technical Working Group (TWG), the activity aimed to produce short-term research proposals for the University’s Research Thinking and Foresight to foster quality education and strengthen partnership.

Dr. Cue also highlighted in his welcome remarks the necessity to be equipped with the tools to pilot through uncertainty and envision a multitude of future. “With this activity, we aim to unlock the potential foresight to drive innovation, embrace change, and shape resilient strategies to address emerging societal demands and adversities,” he added.

Said activity was offered by the Aptissimi Development Innovations, Incorporation in partnership with the Philippines Future Thinking Society, and was funded through the initiative of Senator Pia Cayetano.
