MPSPC empowers extension workers thru training-workshop for community development

To capacitate higher educational institutions teaching and non-teaching personnel with the necessary skills to communicate with diversified clientele profiles, the Research, Development, and Extension Unit and the Office of the President are conducting a two-day training-workshop on empowering MPSPC extension workers for community development at the Coffee & Lemon Function Hall, JBA Building, Samoki, Bontoc, MP.

As community engagement is an important function of higher educational institutions, Dr. Rexton F. Chakas, the Resource Speaker will be speaking on various topics including a) The Adult Learning Principles, b) The Development of the Session Plan, c) The Design and Psychology of the Training/Workshop Area/Room, and d) The Characteristics of the Ideal MPSPC Extensionist. Workshops and technical sessions will follow after each discussion.

College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue represented by Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo (VPAF) stressed the importance of extension services in the College and the community. “This activity has been a remarkable journey, as we join collaboratively, to be equipped with the knowledge on how we improve a sense of communication and understanding, so that we can effectively connect to the communities we serve,” he stated.

The event will run until tomorrow, April 23, 2024.
