MPSPC commemorates 55th Founding Anniversary


Bearing the theme, “Glocalization: Transcending Global Boarders while Cultivating Local Culture”, the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College celebrated its 55th Foundation Anniversary through a mass and program today, April 12, 2024, at the College Quadrangle.

“Today marks another remarkable journey. From humble beginnings to fifty-five years of excellence, passion, and shared aspirations while fostering inclusivity and sustainable institution as one MPSPC,” said Dr. Edgar G. Cue, College President in his welcome remarks.

Meanwhile, the mass was celebrated by the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Philippines.

The program was attended by various key speakers including Cong. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. represented by Mr. Erlindo Agwilang, Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. represented by Mr. Ernesto Bondad, and Bontoc Municipal Mayor Jerome B. Tudlong. Also present were Sen. Chiz Escudero represented by Mr. Winston Calde, Paracelis Municipal Mayor Hon. Marcos G. Ayangwa represented by Atty. Sheastaan Bagingan Vargas, Tadian Municipal Mayor Hon. Constito S. Masweng represented by Ms. Eloisa Buned and MP Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Chairperson Hon. Ken Paulo Nacnas.

MPSPC was established in 1969 as a community college until its enactment as a state college in 1992 under RA 7182. Its foundation is celebrated annually every 10th day of April.
