Championing Equality: MPSU Conducts Gender Analysis Training for Community Empowerment

As part of Mountain Province State University’s commitment to extend its services to its community, the University, through its Gender and Development Unit, conducted a Gender Analysis Training at the All Saints Credit Cooperative, attended by its officers, board representatives, and personnel.

The training, facilitated by Ms. Dixty L. Caranto, the Director and Focal Person for Gender and Development of the academe, aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of gender dynamics, promote inclusive decision-making, and equip stakeholders with practical tools to foster equality and empowerment within the cooperative.

By addressing key gender issues and encouraging practices that ensure fairness and equity, the activity actively contributed to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5): Gender Equality, empowering women and men alike to participate fully and equally in decision-making and leadership roles.

This initiative underscores the University’s dedication to championing sustainable and gender-responsive community development.
