Nursing Department holds enhancement review for 4th year student nurses

The Nursing Department of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) steered up an enhancement review for their fourth-year student nurses, together with their parents, yesterday, February 29, at the College Auditorium, Bontoc, MP.

The review aimed to evaluate the students’ academic performance, foster critical thinking, and identify areas for improvement as they will sooner take their licensure examination. Moreover, the review also sought to provide comprehensive understanding to the parents on educational objectives throughout the review enhancement processes, as they play a huge role in their child’s continuous progress.

College President Edgar G. Cue, in his message, underscored that the College has the responsibility to provide students with transformative learning experiences and comprehensive evaluations of their academic performances. He further encouraged the students to participate in the discussion so they could equip themselves with the skills, knowledge, and character to excel in various pursuits, specifically their professional journeys.

“I therefore urge our students, our soon-to-be registered nurses and health practitioners, to actively engage in this review process to effectively comprehend the value of assessment for your feasible progress. This also helps you foster your critical thinking and prepare you for success in the nursing field,” he added.
