Grantees of the Tulong Dunong Program-Tertiary Education Subsidy (TDP-TES) from MPSPC Tadian campus attended the orientation conducted by the Commission on Higher Education-Crodillera Administrative Region thru the Scholarships and Grants Office, today February 13, 2024 at the IPED Building.
“Remember, as grantees, you are not only recipients of financial assistance but also ambassadors of the program and your commitment to academic excellence, integrity, and community engagement will inspire others and contribute to the success of this initiative. Together, let us embrace this opportunity and strive for excellence,” College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue represented by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mark Preston S. Lopez stressed during his welcome remarks.
Moreover, Cong. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. represented by Mr. Dionisio Wacdisen challenged the students to realize the importance of the grant in the attainment of their dreams and to do their responsibilities as grantees of the program for them to flourish in their chosen courses. “We want to invest in you, our youth, who are the hope of our nation’s future,” he added.
Furthermore, CHED Education Program Specialist-CAR Dr. Geraldine F. Casipit advised the grantees to take advantage of the grant as the Commission on Higher Education-CAR stands with them as their ally.
Also, GAD Director Ms. Parline Angyap C. Ullalim, highlighted her GAD updates on the Republic Act No. 7877 otherwise known as The Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995.
Afterwards, UniFAST Focal Person Dr. Bernadette Pal-ec and Ms. Ana Grace P. Salibad Regional Coordinator UniFAST gave an orientation.
Student grantees of the Tertiary Education Subsidy also gave their testimonials. They were Mr. Norman B. Balinggao, Ms. Jenny Lyn A. Santos and Ms. Jhudie Lhyne B. Cobebe.
The TDP-TES is being implemented by CHED-UniFAST under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (RA 10931).
