MPSPC ROTC cadets advanced to higher levels

“Today marks the beginning of your leadership as reserve officers for our institution, our community, and our country. Your ranks are a testament to your unwavering commitment and perseverance as you join our fellow men in upholding the honor to serve the country, duty to protect and maintain peace and order, and patriotism to show pride as Filipino-born citizens,” said College President Dr. Edgar G. Cue as the guest speaker during the Donning of Rank to the newly promoted Advance Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Cadets of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC). The program was conducted earlier today, February 3, at the Eyeb Gym, Poblacion, Bontoc, MP.

During the ceremony, Dr. Cue, assisted by MPSPC-ROTCU Commandant LTC Alfredo T. Loy-od Jr. (CE) PA and MPSPC-ROTCU Assistant Commandant MAJ Michael B. Pinlac PA (RES), pinned 19 ROTC students who were promoted to First Class Cadets and 28 ROTC students who advanced to Second Class Cadets.

Spearheaded by the 1403rd Mountain Province Defense Center, the Donning of Ranks is a military tradition that recognizes cadet officers’ well-deserved efforts and successes through promotion while also reminding them of their higher responsibilities.
