MPSPC Fortifies Relations with DMMMSU through Friendship Games

Aiming to create and strengthen lasting relations with partners through camaraderie in sports, the MPSPC Men and Women’s volleyball teams joined the Don Mariano Marcos Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) volley teams in a learning-mentoring undertaking during the DMMMSU-MPSPC Volleyball Experience Exchange and Athletes’ Recollection and Team-building with GAD Lens held at DMMMSU-North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union on January 27-28, 2024.

The friendly beach games and indoor setup were ideal opportunities for the coaching personnel of both institutions to gauge the performance progress of the student-athletes, intended to rally the squads as they head into the upcoming regional and national sports meets. Similarly, the conduct of athletes’ recollection cum team-building activities with a gender lens will strengthen connections between team members and facilitate the enhancement of athletes’ interpersonal skills that embody gender-sensitive consciousness.

College President Edgar G. Cue in his message during the send-off program for the Polytechnic’s contingent, firmly pledged his commitment to support all students’ endeavors. He continued, “As we significantly dig our posts in local, regional, national sports and extracurricular activities, we are remaining committed to embody the fundamental values that MPSPC instill in us, such as PROFESSIONALISM, RESILIENCE, INCLUSIVITY, MORAL INTEGRITY, and EXCELLENCE.

Cue also encouraged the student-athletes to instill the values of sportsmanship, discipline, leadership, and time management skills, all of which are critical for personal growth and well-being.
