Bontoc, Tadian Campuses converge for GAD Leveling Session

To integrate gender sensitivity and responsiveness into the four-fold function of the institution, a Gender and Development Leveling Session for the Instructional Staff of both Bontoc and Tadian Campuses was conducted at the College Auditorium on January 17, 2023.

Spearheaded by the Faculty Association of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC), the faculty members, outlined ways on how they will be able to incorporate gender equality, development, and inclusivity in their instructional, research, extension, and production duties in the academe.

The college-wide meeting also provided an avenue for discussion on matters concerning the faculty’s welfare and development, including issues that were encountered in previous years that were addressed to identify potential interventions and solutions to the challenges.

In his inspirational message, College President Edgar G. Cue, represented by Executive Assistant Ms. Shaine Marie K. Macliing, expressed his confidence in the unity and commitment of the College’s faculty to achieving gender development and equality, which help to attain the Vision, Mission, Goal, and Thrusts as well as the so-called functions of the institution.

“It is essential that one of our priorities should be a gender-sensitive and responsive approach that will surely fulfill and elevate our service to greater and newer heights. We have a responsibility to reduce inequalities and promote decent work and positive well-being for all. Our role is not only that of educators but also an advocate of change in the workplace and to the community,” added Cue.
