University conducts forum with stakeholders for FY 2025 budget

To provide the MPSU officials, faculty members and staff an avenue to convene and deliberate on the University’s financial strategies and budget allocations based on respective identified priority programs, projects and activities, a consultation and meeting with the said stakeholders was conducted today, 16 October 2024 at the Admin Conference Hall.

Said budget planning revisited the institution’s strategic plan in order to reprioritize based on the urgency of each identified PPAs.

In addition, this resulted to a reasonable financial plan. The meeting deliberated on the allocation of FY 2025 National Expenditures Program (NEP) (Fund 101) and the allocation from the estimated collection from the University’s Income Generating Fund (Fund 05).

Further, said budget consultation ensures that all sectors, campuses, units, and clusters defend their budget requests, thus promoting responsible financial planning and spending. It also encourages engagement and ownership—a sense of shared responsibility that strengthens the University and its long-term goal.
