Bontoc, Mountain Province — The Philippine Indigenous Communities (PIC) class spearheaded a clean-up drive today, October 15, as part of the opening activities for the 1st Indigenous Peoples Student Summit 2024 at Mountain Province State University (MPSU).
The event gathered students and faculty members from various PIC classes, including those from the Education and Criminology programs, in a joint effort to promote environmental stewardship.
Organized under the leadership of the School Dean for the School of Teacher Education, Dr. Brent Bangao, along with PIC instructors including Ms. Elizabeth Lacaben and Ms. Suzzelle Wangwang, the initiative aims to inspire Indigenous Peoples (IP) students and faculty members to actively engage in caring for the environment and their communities.
