MPSU-SIHSTM, Bakersfield conducts baking workshop


The Mountain Province State University (MPSU) through its School of International Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism Management (SIHSTM) in collaboration with the Bakersfield conducted a baking workshop at the HM Kitchen yesterday, September 25.

MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue represented by Dean for SIHSTM Dr. Karen B. Cue, graced the event during the opening program at the HM Hall. President Cue encouraged the participants to seize the opportunity and actively join the session.

This workshop is conducted to upskill and capacitate the faculty members and students of said school. Further, this will also help the students in preparation for the upcoming Annual Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism (HRT) Week.

Bakersfield is a brand in the baking industry known for its products such as whipping cream, cocoa powder, chocolate bars, and more. Bakersfield has forged a partnership with MPSU to foster another level of baking skills for the faculty and students.

Before the activity, the Bakersfield team paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the President. They were attended to by Vice President for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo, Jr., accompanied by SIHSTM faculty members Ms. Maria Fenerlin S. Comafay, Ms. Rhesa Galingan, and Ms. Jeanlee W. Villaruz.
