To provide Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of Sabangan, MP, with up-to-date information related to multiple burden and its management on women who just delivered that are in the workforce/community, the University, through its School of Healthcare Education and Extension Services, conducted a seminar-training on detecting multiple burden during post-partum visits from September 20-21, 2024.
Multiple burden refers to the three aspects of work, including reproductive, productive, and community management and governance. Said activity did not only focus on the mother and child but also highlighted the role of the father/significant others at home when it comes to postpartum. Training-workshops on coping mechanisms, mental health, stress management, and effective communication techniques were also provided.
