Bontoc campus. The University’s School of Teacher Education held its Pinning Ceremony for 19 student teachers at the Audio-Visual Room today, 04 September 2024. This semestral ceremony is in recognition of the student teachers’ commitment in the teaching profession.
This ceremony also signifies the student teachers’ acknowledgment and acceptance of their responsibility to the learning and development of their learners and their broader commitment to society—to engage and understand, support, and transform.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue highlighted the sentimental value of the parents pinning the nameplates to the student teachers. “This momentous event is your go signal to dive into the actual education stage to execute what you learned in our institution, as you will be joining and meeting various communities of educators and learning other important lessons crucial for your personal and professional growth. We want you to embrace those with an open heart and mind,” he added.
Ms. Loran Prelya S. Tengay, a BSED- Science alumna, was the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The ceremony was witnessed by the parents, faculty members and University officials.
