With the theme โAdvancing Sustainable Development Goals in Higher Education: Stories from Our Institutions and Communities,โ the 15th edition of the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings has released its official results, highlighting global efforts toward sustainability and green initiatives.
This year marks Mountain Province State Universityโs (MPSU) first inclusion in the international ranking, reflecting its Vision of being innovatively centric and globally recognized. This yearโs ranking had 1,745 participating institutions from 105 countries. In the six categories of the ranking, MPSU performed strongest in Education and Research (1,300/1,800) and Setting and Infrastructure (1,250/1,500), followed by Energy and Climate Change (1,050/2,100). Additional category scores include Water (875/1,000), Transportation (810/1,800), and Waste (750/1,800).
The UI GreenMetric Ranking, established by Universitas Indonesia (UI), evaluates participating Institutions across six criteria, emphasizing environmental responsibility, awareness, and green initiatives.
MPSUโs debut performance solidifies its alignment with addressing global challenges, particularly in contributing to SDG 13: Climate Action, and affirms its commitment to environmental sustainability and green initiatives.
