
IPED building, MPSU-Tadian— A Unified Awareness Campaign promoting respect for human rights, equality, and overall well-being was held yesterday, 04 December 2025.
The activity, dubbed, Advocacy in Action: A Unified Awareness Campaign zeroed in key legislations namely, RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act), RA 10627 (Campaign Against Bullying), Drug Abuse Prevention and Control, RA 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995), and RA 9442 (Prohibition on Public Ridicule and Vilification Against Persons with Disability).
This initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of these critical legislations that safeguard the rights and well-being of individuals.
Said activity further encouraged the participants to become agents of changeโempowered to stand against all forms of abuse, harassment, and discrimination, while upholding the core values of compassion, justice, and equality. Ultimately, the initiative underscores the institutionโs dedication to advancing human dignity and fostering a rights-based culture within the academic community.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by VP for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo, Jr., also graced the said event, emphasizing the need for โresponsibility as a learning community to protect human dignity and ensure that every person feels safe, valued, and respected.โ
The Resource Speakers for the said event were from Tadian Municipal Command namely, PMSg Leonard Wal, PCPL Rica Nanganag and PCPL Femie Kiwingan.
