University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, together with university officials, convened for the reconstitution of MPSUโ€™s GAD Focal Point System and review of its GAD agenda at the MPSU Admin Conference Hall, Bontoc, MP on 12 January 2026.

In his message, Dr. Cue emphasized the importance of leadership in advancing the GAD Agenda.

โ€œOur involvement today is vital, as meaningful change begins with informed and committed leaders who can translate policies into concrete, sustainable actions within their respective units. As we all know, Gender and Development is a shared responsibility. It is not confined to a single office, nor limited to specific programs. It must be integrated into our governance, academic offerings, research initiatives, extension services, and administrative processesโ€, he said.

The resource speaker for the three-day activity is Dr. Ferdinand P. Gonzales, Co-Chairperson of the Regional Gender and Development Committeeโ€“CAR.
