Bontoc Municipal Hall— MPSU-Bontoc’s College of Criminal Justice Education recently held its 1st Pre-deployment Pinning and Dowing of Nameplate and Whistle Ceremony for the 255 student interns of the Mabighasik Class of 2025-2026 yesterday, 27 January 2026.
The ceremony carried the theme, โEquipped by Education, Strengthened by Experience: The Transition from Academic Learning to Professional Practice in Criminology,โ highlighting the internsโ important step from classroom learning to real-world application.
The event formally began with a welcome remarks that was delivered by Dr. Edgar B. Mapangdol, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education and Liberal Arts. This was followed by a message from Dr. Edgar G. Cue, University President.
The guest speaker for the event was JINSP Adriano E. Saong, introduced by criminology faculty member Mrs. Mercedes C. Danglose. An inspirational message was also given by JINSP Marcial N. Fallong, Assistant Jail Warden.
The Mabighasik Class performed their batch song, followed by the presentation and acceptance of candidates led by Dr. June S. Biangdan, Criminology Intern Handler. The highlight of the ceremony was the pinning of nameplates and whistles, done together with the studentsโ parents and guardians.
An inspirational song, โLayad Di Napuan,โ was performed before Dr. Eric Danglosi, CCJE Chairperson delivered the closing remarks.
The event concluded with a photo opportunity involving guests, students, families, faculty, and university officials.
