
16 January 2026. The University’s MABIGHASIK Class of 2026 comprising 255 Criminology student interns attended their turniover ceremony and reception rites at the Camp Geronimo F Montes.
The MABIGHASIK Class otherwise known as Maasahang Alagad ng Bayan- Inspiradong Grupo ng Henerasyong Alerto sa tungkulin na may Sipag was turned over by Dr. June S. Biangdan, program coordinator for BS in Criminology and University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue. Said interns were later on acknowledged by the tri-bureaus.
During the ceremony, Prexy Cue highlighted its importance as a transition to greater responsibility, urging the MABIGHASIK Class of 2026 to face challenges with integrity and to honor their parents’ sacrifices by giving back to them first after graduation.
Also present are heads and representatives from the tri-bureaus, namely, PCOL Marcelo B. Polig, Provincial Director of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office who gave an inspirational message to the interns; PMAJ Robert B. Sagando, Chief of Police of the Bontoc Municipal Police Station; JINSP Adriano E. Saong who represented Acting Jail Warden JCINSP John S. Melecio from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology;and SFO1 David L. Pong-et who represented Acting Municipal Fire Marshall FINSP Calvin Mondero from the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The ceremony serves to formally acknowledge the MABIGHASIK Class of 2026 criminology interns as they embark on their practical training, symbolizing their readiness to apply their knowledge, uphold their responsibilities, and serve the community with integrity.
