The officials and personnel of various units of the Office of the University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue convened for a sectoral strategic pre-planning meeting yesterday, 20 January 2026, at the University Board Room, MPSU Administration Building, Bontoc, MP.

Gracing the meeting, Dr. Cue shared his priority programs, projects, and activities for the different units. He also shared a message of appreciation, emphasizing importance of unity and innovation in achieving the Universityโ€™s goals.

โ€œTo achieve our vision to be a unique highland coffee university, we must work together with purpose and passion,โ€ he said.

He further inspired the group by challenging them to elevate their performance and commitment.

โ€œThis is a year to be more extraordinary, to expand more our skills, to get out of our comfort zone, to do more and to give more to the University,โ€ Dr. Cue said.

The sectoral strategic pre-planning gathered the Office of the Presidential Management Staff, Legal Office, Strategic Communication Services, Data Protection Office, Internal Audit Unit, Gender and Development Office, and the University/Board Secretary.

On behalf of Dr. Cue, Atty. Denmark P. Butic, Chief-of staff and Director for StratCom, facilitated the discussion and presentation of accomplishments, strategic plans, PPAs, among others.

Said session centered on formulating sectoral strategic plan as well as key priority programs and activities for years 2026-2028.

Meanwhile, to align strategic plan with institutional directions, Dr. Gemma A. Ngelangel, Director for Planning and Development Office, also presented the VMGT, CHED ACHIEVE Agenda, among others.

The session concluded with a collaborative preliminary analysis of its sectoral SWOT, goals, objectives, and PPAs.

Said meeting marks a critical step to MPSUโ€™s commitment to transparent governance, strategic foresight, and inclusive leadership.
