Samoki, MP— To ensure that tools are reliable, accurate and consistently measure what it intends to measure, the University is currently conducting a training on research tool validation today 23 February 2026.

Today’s resource speaker is Dr. Mildred I. Calugan, faculty from the Nueva Viscaya State University. Dr. Calugan presented his lecture on qualitative research instruments, specifically discussing the core concepts and foundations, ethics in validating research tools and key validation techniques. A workshop is ongoing.

For tomorrow, Engr. Victor V. Hafalia, Jr., faculty from the University of Baguio will be focusing on quantitative research instruments.

In his message University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue noted that said event is a game changer for the quality and credibility of the academe’s research.

“As researchers and educators, we are called not only to introduce knowledge, but ensure that the tools we use, meet the highest standards of validity and reliability,” he added.

Said event run until 24 February 2026.
