𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗙𝗣 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴


Evacuation Center, Caluttit, Bontoc— A three-day search and rescue training dubbed, Responding from the Heights: A Gender-Responsive NSTP Community Preparedness through Basic Mountain Search and Rescue Training, commenced today, 15 February 2026.

A collaboration between the University though its National Service Training Program and the Bureau of Fire Protection, the activity aims to capacitate both students and personnel on the basics of mountain search and rescue.

Prior to the demonstrations, the fundamentals of rope training, including rescue, training, instructor and research were discussed by FO3 Errol K. Tami-ing.

The demonstrations are being conducted under the facilitation of FO3 Tamin-ing, FO3 Dick Allen B. Bantasan, FO3 Perfecto Angel K. Agwaking, FO1 Alden T. Fagcangan III, FO1 Donald D. Pachao III, FO1 Allan Dave Y. Fesetan, and FO1 Leo D. Salicob.

Said event will run until 17 February 2026.
