Mountain Province State University (MPSU) conducted a Research and Extension Project Proposal Review on February 5, 2026, at the Admin Hall in Bontoc, Mountain Province.
In his message, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, through Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan, Vice President for Internationalization, Planning, and Information Management, emphasized that research and extension are the twin pillars of MPSUโs mission.
โThrough research, we generate new knowledge, explore solutions, and push the boundaries of discovery. Through extension, we bring these insights to the people- transforming lives, empowering communities, and ensuring that education is not confined to classrooms but felt in the everyday realities of society,โ said Dr. Cue.
He reminded participants that the review is not only about academic recognition but about impact.
โEvery proposal reviewed today has the potential to shape policies, improve livelihoods, reach another summit, and inspire future generations,โ he added.
In his closing, Dr. Cue called for unity and integrity in the pursuit of knowledge and service,
โLet us embrace collaboration, uphold ethical standards, and remain steadfast in our pursuit of truth and service. Together, we can ensure that the research and extension initiatives of MPSU continue to be force for transformation in the Cordillera and beyond,โ he concluded.
Said review served as a platform for faculty and researchers to showcase proposals that align with MPSUโs vision of excellence and innovation, reinforcing the universityโs role as a catalyst for sustainable development and community empowerment.
