The MPSU community witnessed another milestone today as University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue graced the KALAHI-CIDSS Orientation and Deployment program, a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) today, April 15, 2026 at Mayaen’s Sport Complex.
In his message, Dr. Cue began with words of wisdom from Robert Kuan:
“Be willing to start from the bottom,” he said.
He emphasized that success is never built on entitlement, reminding alumni that every accomplished person once stood at the beginning. Entry-level roles, he said, are not limitations but stepping stones toward growth, learning, and purpose.
Dr. Cue also expressed gratitude to the DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS program for including MPSU alumni, noting that this opportunity allows them to transform lives while shaping their own futures.
He closed his message with encouragement:
“Always keep in mind that your alma mater is always here supporting and rooting for you. May this little help from MPSU lead you to a brighter and progressive future! So go forth, start from the bottom, build your foundation and set your steps towards your profession.”
Said event thus marked not only the deployment of alumni into the KALAHI-CIDSS program but also the reaffirmation of MPSU’s commitment to nurturing graduates who embody service, compassion, and excellence.
