ππ πππΎππ| University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, through Bontoc Campus Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, graced the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Training on Basic Analytics held today, April 27, at the MPSU Admin Conference Hall in Bontoc.
In his message, delivered by Dr. Sia-ed, Dr. Cue underscored the importance of data-driven decision-making, quoting management expert Peter Drucker: βWithout data, youβre just another person with an opinion.β He stressed that decisions must be grounded in facts rather than assumptions, as misinformation can have far-reaching consequences.
βAs the saying goes, misinformation and wrong assumptions can lead to serious consequences for individuals and communities. Inaccurate data can lead to poor decisionsβand in some cases, even chaos within a community,β Cue added.
Said training focused on equipping participants with foundational skills in data analytics, enabling them to interpret collected data more effectively and translate insights into actionable programs and policies.
Personnel from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) served as lecturers, sharing their expertise and guiding participants through the core concepts and applications of CBMS analytics.
