CAMPUS UPDATE|| University honors achievers at annual Araw ng Parangal in MPSU-Tadian

IPED Building—The University conferred certificates of recognition to its academic achievers, graduating students and athletic and leadership awardees today, 28 April 2026.

For the academic achievers, the event honored 38 President’s and 134 Dean’s Listers of MPSU-Tadian for the second semester of Academic Year 2024-2025 and the first semester of Academic Year 2025-2026.

Certificates of recognition were also conferred to the Best Interns and special award recipients across all programs, to eight athletic awardees, and to eleven Special Citation in Leadership recipients.

Bearing the theme, Reaping the Harvest of Excellence and Grit, Ms. Elvie M. Sapongot, Teacher III from Tadian School of Arts and Trade, was the guest speaker.

Ms. Sapongot, in her inspirational message, challenged the awardees to reflect that every harvest or excellence has a story- there was planting, there was waiting, there were challenges, and the need for patience, which has ultimately strengthened the roots for an excellent harvest.

“There will always be new seasons, new fields to cultivate, new seeds to plant, and new challenges to face,” she further reminded.

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by VP for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo, Jr., also thanked the parents and the faculty members for their commitment and dedication to shaping the awardees. He also reminded the awardees to always wear the spirit of their achievements and never forget who stood with them throughout their journey.

“As you receive your certificates, remember that you are holding with you the responsibility to keep growing, to persevere, to dream bigger and to give back to your communities,” he added.

Campus Administrator Dr. Brent Greg E. Gomuad further commended their grit and excellence as they reached their milestones. “Patuloy kayong mag-aral ng may integridad at sipag,” he added.

College of Teacher Education Dean Dr. Oliver Dominguez concluded the Parangal by reiterating that excellence is not an accident and hopes that the recognition serves not as a final destination but as a challenge to strive for the greatest.

Congratulations to all the achievers!
