To ensure the effective implementation of the Scholarships for Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP), the University welcomed personnel from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) today, 28 April 2026, for the regular monitoring and evaluation of its grantees.
The visitors were Education Supervisor II Dr. Christopher Depnag, and Project Technical Staff I Mr. Jack Kevin Cabal.
The monitoring and evaluation was conducted to ensure strict adherence to the grant’s academic and documentary requirements. By verifying compliance, CHED and MPSU intend to streamline the release of financial benefits and strengthen institutional accountability.
Beyond administrative checks, the activity provides a real-time collaborative space for CHED representatives and SIKAP scholars to discuss and resolve specific hurdles. This direct engagement is part of a broader effort to ensure student retention and promote equitable access to quality higher education through timely support mechanisms.
Said event was also graced by University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by Atty. Denmark P. Butic.
